Churn-Dasher.

Patent for "a churn dasher to which a rotary movement shall be imparted by the resistance offered by the fluid to the dasher when the latter is given a vertical reciprocating movement in the ordinary manner, the rotary movement being constantly in one direction, irrespective of the direction of the vertical reciprocating movement" (lines 13-21).

Roll Box for Cotton Gins.

Patent for a new and improved roll-box for cotton gins. This design "is to provide for a cleaning of the seed-cotton at its first stage of ginning, and thus prepare the same for a more effectual cleaning at the second stage of the process after the same leaves the saws" (lines 24-28). It consists, "with the gin-ribs and the revolving saws working between said ribs, of an unyielding perforated breast-board arranged in front of said ribs and a supplemental perforated cleaning-board above said ribs opposite said breast-board, forming an inclosed seed-cotton chamber" (lines 73-79).
