Stationed in the Philippines when the Japanese invaded in December 1941, Adair was captured, survived the Bataan Death March, and interned at Cabanatuan before going to Osaka and Zentsuji, Japan for the remainder of the war.

Josephson, including his personal experiences related to employment with Standard Oil of California, his assignment to Bahrain and transfer to Caltex, the construction of Ras Tanura refinery in Saudi Arabia, and the bombing of the Bapco refinery in Bahrain.
