Certificate given to John T. Willis, Sr. declaring that he has been a Master Mason for over fifty years. It reads: "To all Freemasons dispersed on the face of the Globe: This is to certify that our well-beloved Brother John Todd Willis has been a Master Mason for more than Fifty Years. As a visible token of their fraternal love and grateful appreciation, this certificate is presented to him by his brethren, the Masons of Texas, with the fervent hope that his years of service to the Craft will continue to increase. In testimony whereof, we have hereunto subscribed our names and affixed our seals in the City of Waco, this 4th day of March, A. D. 1968, A. L. 5968." It has been signed by Grand Master J. W. Chandler and Grand Secretary Harvey C. Byrd.

He reports the receipt of several letters from them, and sends his condolences for one of them who recently had a tooth pulled. He comments that he needs to get one or two teeth filled soon. He is planning on taking Wilbur Crawford to a U.S.O. show soon, and tells his parents to inform Mrs. Crawford, Wilbur's mother, that he'll probably be put in a unit in the rear once he's well enough.

Letter from John Todd Willis, Jr. to his parents Clara and John T. Willis, Sr. on March 18, 1944. The weather is beautiful in Italy, and he missed the sunshine. He mentions getting a letter from his aunt Sallie Letitia Willis, and asks what good her MA degree will do her.

He also mentions spending a day with Wilbur Crawford, and going to a show that turned out to be awful. He says they will try again on Monday, and that Crawford is walking without a cane again.

Willis sent a letter to Jimmie Kendrick, and assures his parents that Wilbur Crawford won't have to go back into the army following his injury. He also tells them to be on the lookout for papers he is sending them for his scrapbook.

Letter from John Todd Willis, Jr. to his parents Clara and John T. Willis, Sr. on March 10, 1944. He asks for more short bread, and tells his mother he will buy her a cameo from the market. The shops are required to lower their prices or the US army will make them off limits to their soldiers. Included in the envelope is a pass that gives permission for Todd Willis to be absent from his post from 1:00 to 4:30 to visit Casablanca.

Letter from John Todd Willis, Jr. to his parents Clara and John T. Willis, Sr. on March 9, 1944. On his day off, Willis brought Wilbur Crawford to his camp, and they went to a U. S. O. show in the evening. Willis heard that his cousin Jimmie Kendrick landed in New Guinea.
