Photograph of Jens H. Berndt and his farmstead half a mile west of Danevang, Texas, which was later sold to P. C. Petersen in 1921. Presumably, Jens is the man in the foreground on the small plow that is being pushed by two horses. Behind him on the left, there is a barn with a tall gable roof and a windmill. The main home is on the far right. It is a two-story house with intersecting gable roofs and several double-hung windows, as well as two roof overhangs covering small patios. The photograph has been placed on a stiff mat. On the back, there is hand-written text that reads, "Jens H. Berndt about 1910."

Photograph of five girls at a beauty pageant in El Campo, Texas, headed by the Farm Bureau of Wharton County. They are standing on a wooden floor beneath a hanging set of streamers. They wear long dresses of varying colors, prints, and tailoring. From left to right, they have been identified as: unknown, Mary Dorotik (possibly Dornak), Elaine Hansen, LaVanne Ladewig, and Lillie Jensen. Hand-written text on the back of the photograph lists their names. Additionally, a small newspaper article was cut and taped to the back. It reads: "Danevang Girl Queen EL CAMPO, July 22 - (Sp) - Elaine Hansen, 16, of Danevang, was chosen Farm Queen of Wharton County here Friday. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Hansen and will represent the Wharton County Farm Bureau in the district contest at Wharton in September. Isaacson Gin Company
Photograph of the Isaacson Gin Company, a cotton gin in El Campo, Texas, taken from a high angle and from a distance, capturing the entire structure and the surrounding homes that surround it. Several horse-drawn wagons are moving in a procession in an arc formation from the south-facing wall of the gin to the north-facing one. Groups of men can be seen directing them. Others are seen on the ground and on platforms near the cotton bales. The gin itself is a large two-story structure with gable roofs and a large pole extending from the direction of the smaller roofs. All the buildings in the background within the vicinity of the gin seem to be homes. They are built along the street that runs parallel to the gin's east-facing wall. The photograph has been pasted on a stiff mat with a decorative linear embossing that runs the perimeter of the image.

A broken-down fence stands along the perimeter of the church buildings, seen in the distance. Photograph of the Danevang Lutheran Church and Community Hall. There is a cemetery in the foreground. It appears as if there's been a recent burial in the leftmost side of the picture, judging by the mound of dirt behind one of the tombstones. The church has been built on a central axis with light-colored siding and a gray roof. A large bell tower rises over the entrance, tapering into a point at the top. The silhouette of the bell is seen just underneath the shingled roof of the steeple. A paved walkway leads to the community hall on the rightmost side of the picture. The community center has been built with similar exterior building materials as the church.

Marriage license provided to Anders Jessen Jensen and Dagny Andersen from the Wharton County courthouse. There is a black and white illustration at the very top of the document of a bell composed entirely of small flowers, with a leafy vine emerging from the back of the bell and encircling it in an arc. This bell is inside a circular motif with decorative geometric elements around the edge, and is flanked on both sides by bold, Old English text that declares the document as a Marriage License. Hand-written text has been placed in several areas: where it calls for the names of the couple, dates, signatures, etc. The actual ceremony was ordained by Pastor J. A. M. Rodholm. When closed, the information provided in the opened document is condensed into the upper half of the document's back.

Photograph of students from a Danish school during gym class. A few benches have been placed perpendicular to the school building. The students are using the benches as support for their bodies, which are tilted at a high angle towards the bench by placing one of their hands on the bench seat. Their other hands are raised high up in the air and clasped to the adjacent student's hand, forming a kind of bridge over the benches. Some of them are barefoot; others are wearing suspenders and shorts. Hand-written text on the back of the photograph lists the photographer's name, location of the school, and a crossed-out return-to address and recipient.

Senate Resolution Number Twenty-Eight - In Memory of Lawrence J. Petersen
Resolution document composed by the Senate of the State of Texas that was created and sent to the Petersen family in condolences for the death of Lawrence J. Petersen. The first page of the document gives an account of Mr. Petersen's accomplishments both professionally and as a member of the community. The second page resolves to provide the surviving family - including siblings, wife, children, and grandchildren - a copy of the resolution expressing their sympathies. It is signed by the president, secretary, and a member of the Senate. A gold seal with two purple stripes has been placed besides the signatures on the left side. Both sheets have been stapled within the fold of a third piece of paper.
