The film begins with the family fishing and boating on Possum Kingdom Lake (00:00-03:06), Cheryl (Cherry) Cochran celebrating her first birthday (03:06-07:38), fishing on what may be Black Lake in Louisiana (07:38-08:00), Cheryl (Cherry) celebrating her second birthday with her family and a kitten (08:00-11:32), and Christmas with the Cochran family (11:32-15:27). Footage also includes Cheryl (Cherry) and brother Dennis playing outdoors(15:27-18:53), a family gathering (18:53-19:22) Cheryl and Dennis playing in the snow (19:22-21:18), a hot air balloon (21:18-22:17), a family gathering at a park (23:15-24:33), and Cheryl and Dennis playing in a sprinkler (24:33-25:27). The family attends the Dallas Christmas Parade and participants include Herb Shriner, Christmas floats, a man in a 1903 Oldsmobile with a sign that partially reads "Patty Ann Gerrity," nursery rhyme or storybook themed floats, and a drill team (25:27-26:58). The film concludes with a Christmas (26:58-30:14) celebration and Dennis Cochran's birthday in 1958 (30:14-30:56).
