This design "relates to improvements in rotary churns; and it consists in the combination of the dasher-staff made screw-threaded at its upper end, and having a dasher secured to its lower one; a pinion which is applied to the screw-threaded part of the shaft, and which has a rising and falling movement thereon; the driving-wheel which operates the two pinions, and through them the two dashers, and the sleeve, which is connected to the lower pinion and one of the dashers" (lines 13-23).

Patent for a new and improved combined chimney and ventilator. This design consists "[i]n a combined ventilator and smoke-flue, a series of pipes or flues having a sectional inclosing casing extending from the ceiling of a room and adapted to receive a stove-pipe, the lower drum or casing being provided with a series of openings, and having an annular flange, the top casing being located without the building, having its lower end within the space between the roof and ceiling, and braces, said upper casing having a downwardly-extending flange at its lower end" (lines 18-28).

Patent for a new and improved condenser. This design "consists in the construction and novel arrangement of a series of condensing-compartments, forming a continuous convoluted condensing-vessel having vertical walls, to be employed in the process of extracting alcohol, essential oils, ether, &c." (lines 18-23).

This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a frame, a suction-pipe having one end bent downward to receive the seed cotton and the other end terminating in an upwardly-extending dust flue, and a suction-fan having its suction and discharge at the periphery, of a perforated screening-cylinder, an endless belt which co-acts with the cylinder to deflect the cotton into the discharge pipe, and a blowing-fan in the latter for forcing the seed-cotton to the gins" (lines 48-58).

Patent for certain new and useful improvements in cotton elevators, cleaners, and feeders, including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a curtain stretcher where the parts can be disconnected and readily assembled to accommodate curtains of various types. It permits stretching without screwing curtains or disengaging them from the clamps. The patent includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a dental broach holder that can be easily cleaned, and that includes certain structural elements that keep a dental broach more secure during use. The broach fastens on the outside of the holder, the mechanism of which "[prevents] loss of the broach in the patient's mouth during operation" (lines 92-94).

Design patent for a nut-lock washer that consists of an annular disk having a depression on the margin of its inner opening and with an incision cut in from the periphery, forming a tongue.

Patent for an illusion boat. This "invention realtes to a carrier for amusement and pleasure , and more particularly to a carrier by which mock diving trips may be made, or trips which will have the appearance of the boat or carrier going down under water and traveling under the water" (line 6-11). Patent for a an inexpensive and durable jetty made from "piles driven in the ground in the ordinary way, but incase them in such a way that they will not be liable to early decay or infested by insects, which cut and destroy them when not protected" (lines 11-15).

Patent for a new and improved cabinet. This design consists in "the combination, with a hinged door or lid, of [a] . . . separate bail" (lines 99-100). Further, said bail is "pivotally secured at its upper ends to the cabinet, and adapted to support on its middle portion the free end of the said door when the latter is in its horizontal position . . . [and it consists in] a suitable frame, the drawers having compartments on either side thereof, in combination with the hinged pie-board having the opening . . . which when raised closes said compartments" (lines 1-10).

This design consists in "[t]he combination, of a clock-work mechanism, of the spring-shaft, the screw geared thereto, whereby the said screw will be rotated simultaneously with the spring-shaft, the friction-drum, and the brake-bar bearing on the said drum and engaging the screw" (lines 90-95).

Patent for a light rotary-disk plow that is as strong as other plows, and has multiple concave plow disks that are arranged diagonally to the line of draft. The disks are adjustable and avoid excess friction. The plow's motion drives it into the ground.

Patent for stalk cutter that breaks the stalks close to the ground, featuring a lever that enables cutter height adjustments to facilitate the breaking of stalks. This stalk cutter has no cutting edges and will not dull over time.
