Austin, in which Raney informs Austin that he has had to postpone his travels to San Felipe to sign his colonization contract because he has been severely ill since July and can barely walk. He appeals to Austin to continue to hold the allotment of land until he recovers, arguing that he has already paid the necessary fees to have the area surveyed, etc.
