Transcription of letter from Chester Nimitz to his father in Kerrville. Nimitz mentions receiving a photograph of his siblings, Otto and Dora. He also mentions that calculus is not as difficult as some of the other mathematics he has faced at the Academy. Nimitz comments also on enjoying the work he doing in the carpenter, blacksmith and boiler shops. He also mentions he will be going to Philadelphia in a week for the annual Army-Navy game. He also mentions communicating with Victor Keidel of Fredericksburg, who was in Philadelphia studying medicine.
