Herrera next visited Palacios, Texas, and presented the charter to the new Palacios LULAC Council. Herrera also confirms delivery of charter to the Wharton Ladies LULAC Council.

Letter from Oscar M. Laurel, LULAC Executive Secretary, to John J. Herrera, LULAC National Organizer, dated January 22, 1952. Laurel conveys the approval of the LULAC Supreme Council for sociological and statistical data contained in the report by Lyle Saunders and Olen T. Leonard, entitled, "The Wetback in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas." Laurel writes that the council also condemns the false and prejudiced statements attributed to three people interviewed by the sociologists. This report is to be discussed at an upcoming LULAC Convention.

Vernon, Clerical Audit Supervisors, Mirando City, Texas, dated October 22, 1943. Carswell replies to the letter of October 18, 1943 from the Board which was written to L. M. Fellbaum regarding classification forms.

This is a patent for a railway Derailer. This new derailer is less expensive, easier to manufacture, and will be an improvement over older models. For example, it is easier to attach to the rail track and more efficient at stopping railroad collisions.
