Postcard from Henry W. Woodward to George Pendexter regarding the location of the fire station on the back of the card. The photo shows the Springfield fire station on Oakland Street with the firefighters standing outside in their uniforms and horse-drawn vehicles. In the note, Woodward says that this station is located about two miles from the center of the city.

Postcard from J. D. Smith to George Pendexter with a message saying that Smith had forgotten Pendexter's number. On the backside of the postcard there is a photo of some of the members of the Central Fire Station in Lansing, Michigan. The twelve men in front of the building are standing next to two of the automobiles used in fighting fires; the car on the left is holding ladders in the back end.

Postcard of the burning of the Delaware Hotel. The town's fire department is trying to extinguish the flames, as seen by the hose leading from the wagons in the bottom right corner of the image. A large crowd is watching the event unfold from the left. Despite the image being black and white, the smoke has a slight red tint to it. The back of the photograph has a handwritten note from the sender that says, "[...] This is the nearest thing to a fire wagon here, so I sent it. [...]"

Postcard addressed to Mamie Collins in Central City, Nebraska with a photograph of a man laying next to a woman in a dress on the bank of a small creek; there are music notes and lyrics printed on the bottom of the card that read: "Sighing crying for the love that's growing." There is also a handwritten note on the reverse side of the card that says: "On Camp. Flatt Rock. About two hours before the swim."

Below the picture is a caption that says: "Much ado about nothing" followed by a note from Greaves that reads: "Don't you think so? Haven't got that postal yet that you said you'd send me. Better get busy."
