The film begins with Tincher and friends traveling to Indiana and Missouri, with footage of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Gateway Arch, and an American Airlines airplane. The film continues with the friends at a home near Tyler Street in Dallas, Texas with fast motion photography and footage of KRLD buses (2 min., 36 sec). the film continues with the Vietnam Moratorium Day at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake on October 15, 1969 (4 min., 34 sec.). Footage includes protest signs and performances by unidentified rock bands (05 min., 50 sec.) and the Velvet Underground (8 min., 7 sec.). Musician Sue Morris appears as a singer at 6 min., 28 seconds.The film continues with footage of a B. F. Goodrich Store truck on fire in Oak Cliff (10 min., 34 sec.) and a jazz performance at El Centro College (13 min., 27 sec.). Oral History Interview with Vilsen Salinas, June 15, 2016

Vilsen Salinas was born and raised outside Lubbock, Texas. After graduating from Texas Tech University, Salinas joined the military and saw action in Vietnam. In Vietnam he suffered injuries and was exposed to Agent Orange. When returning to the U.S., Salinas held various professional jobs and eventually entered and graduated from George Washington University’s law school. He then began to practice law in Lubbock, Texas.
