Warwick is seeking help to formulate new ideas and ways to put together a UIL Picture Memory Contest for the elementary students. Enclosed in the letter is a list that Warwick asks her colleagues to fill out with further suggestions and to send them back to her before the school year.

Photocopies of evaluations and comments for the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution: An Introduction to Latino Art and Culture, dated June 26 - 28, 1996. The evaluations are rating the quality of the workshop by answering the questions of material, information, topics and other objectives that the exhibit provided. In a letter to Carol Wyrick, July 15, 1996, Bill McCarter apologies for withholding the evaluations but NTIEVA wanted to record the general comments made about the Institute. Some of the comments read as written, "I enjoyed the workshop and learned a lot." "Those of us who teach the younger students found the drawing studies to be of little relevance to the level of production appreciated [by] our students." Other comments continue with the enthusiasm of the quality of materials and the presentations, as well as offer suggestions or provide concerns about the related subject.

Letter from Mary Travers, vice president of Alice B. Theatre, to Sterling Houston, prominent San Antonio playwright. She writes to congratulate him on being one of ten people chosen as a finalist for a position on the artistic staff. The rest of the letter details how the upcoming weeks will look like for the finalists, and what materials they need to send so that the theatre can make their final decision.

Letter from John Glines of The Glines, a non-profit organization for gay arts, to Sterling Houston, prominent San Antonio playwright. He writes thanking him for showing an interest in The Glines, but that they are not looking for new material to produce.

Letter from someone at the Walt Whitman Cultural Arts Center, INC. to Sterling Houston, prominent San Antonio playwright. Though it has been signed at the bottom, it is difficult to read with certainty. The note informs Sterling that items have been enclosed regarding Essex and suggests that he send them to the appropriate people.

Letter from Frank R. Aqueno to Sterling Houston, prominent San Antonio playwright. He writes to invite Houston to his provocative one-man performance piece titled Queer Pier. He encloses a xeroxed newspaper clipping from The Advocate about his play. A third clipping shows a portrait of the writer wearing sunglasses, shorts, and an American flag bandana in front of a chain-link fence.

Letter from Nancy de Mattia to Sterling Houston, prominent San Antonio playwright. She writes from France, where business operations for Omero magazine have moved. Her position at the publication remains unclear, but it appears that an interview with Houston over one of his plays, the Modernization of Sainthood, has remained unpublished due to its controversial content. Nancy wishes to publish something less controversial.

Letter from Sterling Houston, prominent San Antonio playwright, to the editor of the San Antonio Light, a now closed newspaper. Houston writes to commend the quality of their work; particularly, their treatment of art and artists.

Letter from Donna Muslin to Barbara Lawrence inviting the San Antonio chapter of The Links, Inc. to participate in a charity shopping day at the J. C. Penney store. Muslin would like members of the chapter to sell $5 tickets to the event, with the chapter keeping the proceeds. The body of the letter is a form letter, but Muslin also wrote a brief personal note to Lawrence.

Included is a letter to Mr. President from Daniel McGlinchey regarding Stonewall's efforts to elect Democrats who support equal rights for gay and lesbian Americans.
