In the interview, the Brewers discuss their family backgrounds, marriage, losses on charge accounts during the Great Depression, the change from clerk-service to self-service operation of the store, the credit business, purchasing clothes at the Dallas fashion market, customer interests, changes in product lines, commercial and residential growth in the Bertram area, using direct mail and radio advertising, their involvement with the Texas Retail Association, factors in developing a successful business, and civic activities. The interview includes an appendix with a flyer, photographs, articles, and letters.

She recalls her childhood and education in Dallas and New York City; love of piano and musical education; decision to become one of the first African American students at North Texas; experiences as a college student, including racist incidents on campus, and as a boarder in Southeast Denton; decision to drop out in 1958; marriage to Raymond Logan, move to California, and return to Denton; decision to return to UNT as a student in 2005 and experiences on campus in the 21st century; 2011 graduation.

Interview with Cece Cox, Executive Director of Resource Center of Dallas and longtime activist in the LGBT community. The interview includes Cox's personal experiences of childhood in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, her college years at Northwestern University, and coming out the family, friends, and co-workers. Cox talks about the awareness of her sexual orientation, the supportive reactions of family, her decision to move to Dallas, Texas for a job, her involvement in the Dallas LGBT community, thoughts on Texas Penal Code 21.06-the Sodomy Law, the struggle for gay men to receive AIDS treatment at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas Gay Alliance's activism in AIDS treatment and care as well as in the struggle for equal treatment and human rights. Additionally, Cox talks about her impressions of Don Baker, Judge Jerry Buchmeyer and his decision to overturn penal code 21.06, changes in Dallas's LGBT community, family life, and Resource Center Dallas's history and services. The interview also includes an appendix with articles, Vol. 4, No. 2 of the THRF News newsletter, and a certificate of incorporation for the Foundation For Human Understanding.

Additionally, Burns talks about his family history, his 1942 enlistment in Army Air Corps, being accepted into pilot training, marriage to Dorothy Perrin, life at Deenethorpe Air Base, England, crew members and their respective duties on his plane, various missions bombing German targets, his feelings about missions against civilian targets, opinions of Luftwaffe pilots and of Germans, and his postwar Air Force career, including service in the Korean War. The interview includes an appendix of photographs.

Oral History Interview with Hermi Salas, February 14, 2005

Interview with Oral interview with Hermi Salas, a U. S. Marine during World War II. Salas was assigned to the Third Marine Division and was present for the invasion of Guam in the Mariana Islands. He was wounded on Guam and evacuated to a hospital ship, the USS Solace. He also participated in the Iwo Jima landings. After a few weeks at Iwo Jima, Salas was wounded again and placed aboard the USS Solace. He discusses his experiences in the hospital recovering from the wounds he received in the Battle of Iwo Jima. Eventually, he made his way back to San Antonio. He also discusses a brief leave at home before he reported to prison guard duty in Corpus Christi. Upon being discharged after the war, Salas went to radio school and worked at Kelly Air Force Base in the Civil Service.
