Letter and envelope from son Victor Lauderdale to his father J.R. Lauderdale, November 14, 1918. The letter addresses the armistice ending the war and the ensuing celebrations taking place among the civilians and soldiers. Lauderdale relays information on the attitudes of the French, his intentions to explore Europe before coming home and details about his coworkers and job as a bookkeeper.

Black and white postcard of the First United Methodist Church, located at 300 East Houston St., in Marshall, Texas, photographed in the early 1920s. The building was constructed in 1861. It is a front-gable brick-masonry structure in a Greek revival style with a bell tower and steeple on the peak of the front gable. Three sets of steps ascend to the entrance porch, which has four tapered square brick columns surmounted by a pediment. The view shows the facade and the right side of the building with its raised basement windows visible. At the top of the image, printed in red is the title, "Methodist Church, Marshall, Texas." Printed on the right side of the i mage in red: "Fry Hodge Drug Co., Marshall, Texas." There is a postmark dated May 14, 1923 on the back. The card was addressed to Miss Sallie Woodrome, Yoakum, Texas.

Postcard of Physicians' and Surgeons' Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. The image is an illustration of four-story building from the left side, including the lawn and drive up to the building. There are several nurses wearing full length dresses and aprons on the lawn. The back of the postcard includes the printed text, "P. and S. Hospital is a private hospital erected by a number of the very best doctors in the city." and handwritten correspondence. The correspondence is addressed to Mr. [and Mrs.?] Berry, and reads, "Dear [...] [Fanny] and Mildred will be there next Sunday morning if nothing [...]."

Letter from Borderland Citrus Groves to Harris Leon Kempner mentioning that they'll give him the best quality of pinks, and that shipment will be made on November 16th. They also acknowledge his order and that they'll do the shipment for the order to be delivered in early Christmas.

Postcard inviting the recipient to visit an exhibition of divine art to be auctioned at the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, Texas. The Auction Party was held on December 14th, 1996. Divine art to be auctioned included "contemporary & traditional Retablos and Ex-votos," or votive paintings. The front of the postcard, which is blue in color, features a drawing of the Virgin Mary clasping her hands in prayer.

Postcard to John J. Herrera from Bernice, postmarked February 14, 1966, in El Paso, Texas. The front of the postcard features an image of a cavern with stalactites and stalagmites which is identified on the reverse of the card as Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico. The handwritten note on the reverse of the card reads, "Hi, Last card left. Bernice".

Around her waist is a dark belt and she has on stockings. On the front and back, Mrs. Metcalf wrote that the photo was of Sou and that she wanted to hear from Junia.

Postcard from Mrs. C. W. Metcalf to Miss Ora Osterhout in Belton, Texas. On the front is a photograph of Mrs. Metcalf's house in Holland, Texas. She says that they "have lots of chickens to fry" and invites Ora to come visit. On the back she says that she would like to hear from Ora. The house is a small wooden cabin with a front porch. There are three small children in the yard in front. The card is postmarked Holland, Texas.

Postcard from Mrs. Lucille Hall to Truett Latimer asking whether the legislature would be in session on the Friday before Easter. She also asks whether visitors would be admitted.
