Interview with Albert Boggs, a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Mixon, Oklahoma. Boggs discusses his family life, farming, struggles during the Depression, joining the CCC, his first assignment to a camp at Jacksonville, TX, education, camp life and organization, work, fights in camp, transfer to a camp in Waxahachie, being an assistant leader, building bridges, the kinds of people who worked the camp, and some general reflections. In appendix are Boggs' discharge papers and a newsletter commemorating CCC veterans.

Interview with Antonio Chavez, a former UNT student from Sonora, Texas. Chavez discusses the desegregation of schools in Sonora, experiences in grade school and the disparity in quality between segregated schools, his father's grocery business, discrimination, majoring in elementary education, working in geophysics, attending North Texas State College, life in Denton and on campus, and raising his family.

Interview with Arthur and Louise Caillet Dieterich, owners and operators of Hermosa Farms, Dallas, Texas. The interview includes the Dieterich's personal experiences about farming in Dallas, education, and establishing Hermosa Farms. The Dieterich's talk about their family backgrounds, Arthur's employment as operator of dairy cooperative with his brother in El Paso, Texas, the effect of the Great Depression on Dallas dairy businesses, milk processing and delivery operations, a typical day on a dairy farm, their change from retail to wholesale business, developing dairy herd, their cooperation with agricultural experiment stations, personnel practices, and civic and trade association activities. The interview includes an appendix with a family history written by Louise Caillet Dieterich.

Interview with Army Air Corps veteran Arthur Brindley. The interview includes Brindley's personal experiences at Hickam Field during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Interview with Charles M. Lagow, a Army WWII veteran from Dallas, Texas. Lagow discusses his family history, attending Texas A&M, joining the CCC, the lead up to war, activation and training with the 352nd Engineer Battalion, deployment to Khorramshahr, Iran, building roads, delivering supplies to the Soviets, crash landing in a B-17 in Palestine, returning to the States and transfer to the 1346th Eng. Bat., deployment to Okinawa, occupation duty and Japanese holdouts, thoughts on Hideki Tojo, attitudes towards the Japanese, shell shock and mental breakdowns, the atomic bomb, and life after the war.

Interview with Chris Walker, a carpenter during World War II. He discusses working as a carpenter in the Marines at Camp Pendleton and on Tinian and Saipan. He was present at Okinawa and in Nagasaki after Japan surrendered. He also tells stories about generals, his colonel, rations, and friendly fire. He describes some of the memorabilia he kept.

Interview with Clarice Tinsley, a journalist in Dallas, Texas. The interview includes biographical information about her life growing up, her educational background, and her career as a reporter and a news anchor.

Interview with Donald C. Brain, a United States Navy veteran from Long Beach, California. Brain discusses his experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese during World War II after his cruiser, the USS Houston, was sunk off the coast of Java in 1942.

Interview with Eugene Fowler, Jr., Joel D. Fowler, Joe W. Specht, and Melody Specht Kelly. The interview includes their personal experiences about the Duke and Ayres Store and the University of North Texas Lab School. The Fowlers and the Spechts talk about childhood and education, enlisting, family histories, the Denton square, various jobs, and race issues in Denton. The interview includes an appendix with photographs and articles.

Interview with Fred Agnich, businessman and member of the Texas House of Representatives, Republican. The interview includes Agnich's personal experiences as a member of the 64th Legislature. Agnich talks about the House speakership race, appropriations, committee appointments, the strip mining bill, public school financing, public utilities legislation, constitutional revision, and Governor Dolph Briscoe.

Interview with Garfield Thompson, a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Fort Worth, Texas. Thompson discusses his family background and education, the effects of the Great Depression, Republicans, the New Deal, joining the CCC and assignment to Company 812 in Cache, Oklahoma, the layout of the camp, projects worked, routine, recreation and leave, discharge, and reflections on the program.

Interview with Giancarlo Quijano, West German-born Colombian immigrant to Denton, Texas, for the DFW Metroplex Immigration Oral History Project. The interview includes Quijano's personal experiences from his childhood in West Germany, life in Colombia during the 1990s violence, his family's immigration to Texas, his expectations of the U.S., and the subsequent culture shock. Quijano talks about the transition to American life, attending college as an international student, his experiences with the citizenship process, and his thoughts on the immigration debate.

Interview with James L. Kent, a Marine WWII veteran and POW from Duncanville, Texas. Kent discusses joining the Marine Corps, being AWOL, his judicial punishment, his deployment to the Philippines at Cavite Navy Yard, the Japanese attack, his experiences in the Battles of Bataan and Corregidor, his capture, and his internment at Bilibid Prison, Cabanatuan #1 & 2, and Mitsushima.

Interview with Weatherford resident Joe Tison, school administrator and mayor, as part of the Weatherford Oral History Project. The interview includes Tison's personal experiences of childhood, education in Weatherford public schools, Weatherford College, and North Texas State College, as well as his career as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in Aledo and Weatherford ISDs. Tison also discusses the racial integration of Weatherford schools, his career as interim superintendent at various North Texas ISDs, and his experience as mayor. The interview includes an appendix with photographs and articles about Tison.

Interview with Joel Walker, an employee of the Home Owners' Loan Association from Marietta, Oklahoma. Walker worked for the HOLA in Dallas during the Great Depression; he discusses working at a bank in Roswell, New Mexico, unemployment, hiring with HOLA in Dallas, how the Association operated, loan terms, mortgages, and foreclosures.

Interview with Navy veteran Joseph Bolen. The interview includes Bolen's personal experiences while aboard the battleship USS California during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Interview with L. Clifford Davis, an attorney known for his work for civil rights from Wilton, Arkansas. Davis discusses growing up in a segregated rural community, his education, time at Philander Smith College, integration in Arkansas, his efforts to gain admission to University of Arkansas Law School, becoming an attorney, reflections on civil rights legislation and its impact, practice in Fort Worth, his decision not to take part in direct action, cases fought, MLK's visit to DFW, supporting housing rights for blacks in Fort Worth, and reflections on inequality, current challenges, and civil responsibility. In appendix is a piece from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about Davis, and two photographs of him.

Interview with Lanson B. Ditto, clothier and Navy veteran regarding personal experiences about the Pacific, Atlantic, and Mediterranean Theaters during World War II. Ditto talks about his education, enlistment in the Navy V-7 Program, midshipman training, assignment to the USS Langley, pre-war duty in the Philippines, coming of war and combat around the Philippines and Netherlands East Indies, the sinking of the Langley and his transfer to the USS Pecos, the sinking of the Pecos and his rescue by the USS Whipple, various naval battles and assignments, antisubmarine patrols off the Solomons, various escort duties, and his promotion to captain of the O'Toole.

Interview with Korean War veteran Marvin Dunn as part of the Tarrant County War Veterans Oral History Project. The interview includes Dunn's personal experiences about boot camp and training, combat in Korea, combat at Hill 749 and Hill 884, and of being a teacher, principal, and administrator in Dallas ISD. Additionally, Dunn discusses his decision to drop out of college to join the U.S. Marine Corps, his assignment to combat unit, the battlefield injury at "the Punchbowl," that resulted in his leg amputation, the following recuperation, his opinions regarding enemy soldiers and what the U.S. accomplished in the war, civilian opinions of the war, struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, returning to college and graduate school, and his involvement with Korean War Veterans Organization.
