Onionskin paper carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera to the editor of the Houston Chronicle, M.E. Walter, regarding an article in the "Our City" column concerning the formation of a Latin American Squad. Herrera insists that the so-called "Latin American Problem" is exaggerated and that most Latin Americans are not criminals. Herrera also states that LULAC, which opposes the creation of a Latin American Squad, stands to support the betterment and fair treatment of Latin Americans.
