Shift style day dress of oatmeal crochet knit wool. The mid-length dress is of a seed-stitch knit with Peter Pan collar and short sleeves. The collar, upper lapel edge and sleeves are finished with a single stitch crochet binding/edging. Double-breasted with ten self-covered circular buttons arranged in two vertical rows of five each. Dress opens along left vertical row with a single snap and a single small hidden button and loop to secure upper left of panel under collar. Unlined. Black band inside lower hem. Designer's label inside at back near collar: "Norman Norell / New York". Union label inside at hem, partly hidden by hem: 625687.

Dress in modified caftan style of navy blue silk and silk chiffon with butterfly print. Full length. Sleeveless silk under dress has matching butterfly pattern. Over dress of chiffon has long set-in sleeve on right and draped opening on left creating a toga-like effect. Hemline and draped sleeve bordered in 4" band of light aqua blue organza with under band of hot pink organza. Scooped back has center opening of 10 faux self-covered buttons and loops with closure of 5 covered snaps. Lined in navy jacquard rayon with "Hanae Mori" print. Designer's label at inside back to left of zipper: "(Japanese characters) / Hanae Mori"

Dress of black wool. Street-length, short sleeves. Scoop neck. Collar and cuffs with frills of same. Skirt slightly gathered at waist. Tie at left hip. Center back zipper. Skirt formed as simulated "wrap", with zipper at right side under flap. Under flap skirt is seen to be culottes. Lined in Silk. Designer's label: "An Original / Lotus"

Day dress in shift style of light blue-green sage jersey wool knit. Street length. Center front opening with 11 circular blue-green plastic buttons and bound buttonholes. Convertible collar with 5" pointed ends and small non-functioning matching button and bound buttonhole at ends. Long sleeves with 3" cuffs and two small matching buttons with bound buttonholes. Two large patch pockets at sides, below waist. Lined in light sage colored silk crepe. Designer's label at inside left seam of lining: "Norman Norell / New York" Retailer's label at inside back neckline: "Lou Lattimore / Dallas" b) Matching belt of self. 7' x 8"

A) Evening dress of yellow chiffon with rhinestone sequins on bodice and sleeves in abstract curvilinear lines. Jewel neckline. Full length. Bodice and long sleeves have pin tucked pleating which releases to gathering at waist and elbows. Sleeves have 2-1/2" cuffs of matching rhinestone sequins with hook & bar closure. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Bodice lined in matching yellow chiffon. Designer's label at left of zipper at neckline: "Galanos" Retailer's label at right of zipper at neckline: "Neiman-Marcus" Care label to right of retailer's label. B) Scarf of yellow chiffon. Handkerchief hem. C) Slip of yellow chiffon. Spaghetti strap shoulders. Full length with 18" side slit on left. Left side zipper. Lined in golden yellow silk crepe.

Patch pockets on breast with flap closure trimmed with non-functioning button and bound buttonhole. All buttons on center closure are non-functioning with bound buttonholes; actual closure is hidden covered snaps. Pair of shoes of navy blue leather. The shoes are designed with square toes and dark leather uppers. A wide rectangular panel of navy blue simulated reptile skin extends from the toe, up the vamp, below an oval cut-out in the vamp, and up the instep to create a tongue. The 2 1/4" high heel is covered with same blue leather, and tapers to base.
