Postcard of the 6th Ohio Band from the military during a parade. Children can be seen walking near the parade following the soldiers on either side. A dog can be seen in the bottom left corner of the photograph, it appears to be following the leader of the parade. On the back of the postcard there is writing. The note says, " 9/21/16. Had Dome Parade. Was 20 miles long. Carl. El Paso."

Postcard image of people examining an adobe building that was damaged by cannons and bullets during the Battle of Ciudad Juarez. The image was taken from one corner of the building and there are groups of people wearing formal clothing and hats standing along both visible sides, including several looking into the interior from atop rubble where the corner of the building is missing. Handwritten note on back: "Juarez, Mexico, 9-28-1911. Hello Bud, Just over looking at some of the battle scenes. Leave El Paso tonight. Bro. Laurence."

Postcard of a colorized image of a street scene labeled in the upper-right corner as "Beauregard Avenue, looking East, San Angelo, Texas." Horse-drawn wagons and carriages are parked along both sides of the street and some are driving in the center; a trolley is passing on a side street in the background. A letter is written on the back of the postcard, addressed to Tuise Tatro in Vermont: "Dear friend Luise, I am now at the place have been here for nearly a week came with a car load of sheep. I like the place very much, but it is very hot. How are all the [...] out there. Do not know how long I shall be here. Will go back as soon as I sell out regards Alex."

Beeville Main Street 1914
View of Washington Street in 1914 looking north. The red brick three stories building on the left was the first “skyscraper” for Beeville. It was the Grand Opera House, built by A.F. Rees and E.J. Kinkler at the corner of Washington and Bowie Streets in 1907, and opened in 1908. Many Broadway stage plays, musical comedies, and light operas were presented in the opera house. The building was destroyed by fire in 1919. The building to the left of the Grand Opera House was Beeville’s first bank, the First National Bank of Beeville, which opened in 1890, and moved to this location by 1894. This postcard shows the modes of transportation available in the early 1900’s, a buggy, automobile, wagon and horse. By 1908 automobiles were owned by several individuals in Beeville.

The roofs and second stories of the buildings on the north side of the square are shown as well as the tops of the sidewalk canopies. "Telephone Office" is painted above the second floor windows of the building on the corner, and the second store balcony along the side of that building is shown.
