Script notes for the presentation "User Directed Scrapbook Digitization" at the 2018 Digital Library Federation Forum. This presentation provides an overview of a study to understand user preferences in the digitization of scrapbooks.

This doctoral dissertation applies user experience and complex systems theory, combining eye-tracking data with verbal and observational data from user test instances, to study the effectiveness of metadata records that accompany digital primary source objects available on The Portal to Texas History.

Dataset of OCR text from N. W. Ayer & Son's American Newspaper Annual and Directory. This dataset includes volumes covering the years 1910 to 1922. In all there are 25 volumes comprised of 16,669 pages of text.
