The article spotlights Oscar "Lightning" Autrey, a African-American cowboy. Written at the top of the article "Grandpa Jodarski first settled in Booth Tex when he came here - This is how it was 1920 - He knew Mr & Mrs Booth well. Written at bottom: "Ethel was born in Booth, Texas."

Manila envelope that contained four photographs. Text written in red ink near top of envelope reads: "Note: It appears that these photograph were among items belonging to Stanley Decker that were in George Office vault - Sent to the park on 2-12-82-".

Copy photo of an African-American rodeo cowboy. The cowboy is participating in bull riding. He is wearing boots, dark colored chaps with white fringe trim, a light colored shirt with a number pinned on left shoulder and a straw cowboy hat. He has his left arm extended in the traditional bull riding manner. There are several cowboys standing/sitting on the wooden partitions in the background. Advertisement signs are visible above the top of the pens - one near center reads: "St. Pes Saddlery Pasadena" and the one on left "Swifts Plastic."

Letter with "The Santa Gertrudis Journal" letterhead reads: "Roger B. Letz, Publisher P. O. Box 2386 Fort Worth, Texas 76101 Phone (817) 336-3611 July 6, 1971 Mr. Hilmar Moore, Manager Mamie E. George Ranch Richmond, Texas 77469 Dear Hilmar: It will be the George Ranch time to be featured in the cooperative Polled advertising page in our August 1 issue. I would suggest using something like "Headquarters For Polled Cattle Breeders Since 1932". You might also include a description of what you have for sale and a sentence such as "watch for our all-polled offering in the Pioneer Sale". We have a number of pictures on hand that could be used. I am sending two for your consideration, a group of young bulls and one of a herd sire which I think is Husky George 100. Please let me know what your wishes are in regard to the ad and return the picture you want to use. Sincerely yours, [signed] Roger Roger B. Letz" .

A magazine page (23) taken from "The Santa Gertrudis Journal" dated July 1971. The page is in reference to a letter 2000.034.044a. The page shows an advertisement for breeders of �Polled Santa Gertrudis Cattle and lists Ranches and Farms that offer the sale of these cattle. Mamie E. George Ranch is listed in the bottom right corner of the page (23). In this particular article, the "Ballenger Farms" cattle were featured. The Ballenger Farm information was marked through with a black crayon.

A letter with "The Santa Gertrudis Journal" as the letterhead reads as: "Roger B. Letz, Publisher P. O. Box 2386 Fort Worth, Texas 76101 (817) 336-3611 October 20, 1970 Mr. Walter W. Cardwell, Jr. P. O. Box 1018 Lockhart, Texas Dear Walter: Here are the pictures made at Kingsville. I have copies of them on hand here at the office so if you wish just call me collect about the copy for the next ad. I would suggest using the picture of the three men along with an announcement of the purchase of the highest selling polled bull in the history of the breed; along with a thank you to those who purchased Mamie E. Box 1018 Lockhart, Texas Dear Walter: Attached are two pictures each of four of your Pioneer Sale heifers, one picture of one of the heifers and four pictures of the sale bull. Also included is a suggested layout of a page ad, which includes all six pictures. You will need to fill in appropriate remarks about each animal under its picture. The promotion of these sale cattle could be done in any of the following ways. 1. Run the attached layout in both the September and October issues. 2. Increase the size to two pages to run in September, thereby making the pictures larger; run a follow up smaller ad of a half page in the October issue. 3. Do not run a picture of all of the heifers - use only one or two. We will need to have the layout, copy and pictures you want to use in September by August 20. Text written under flap: "Issued By Boulder Dam Service Bureau Boulder Theatre Building Boulder City, Nevada Official Motion Pictures, Original Photographs, Souvenirs and Authentic Booklets".

The envelope had a label with red writing in top right corner and is only partially legible because it was cut off.

Christmas greeting card sent to the Georges from the Frosts. The exterior cover of the card is red with white border on left and right. White text reads: "[holly leaf attached to the "H"] Holiday Greetings [holly leaf attached to the cross of the "t"]. The interior of the card is a paper "frame" for the enclosed photograph. The photograph shows a man and woman dressed the same in brown knit pants, red satin shirts, and felt hands. The man is standing in front of a mare and her colt while the woman is sitting on her heels and holding her hat out to the colt. Red text reads: "Mary and Pete Frost". Written in blue ink on the back of the cover [interior]: "Fruit Cake [underlined]". There is a white wooden house with red shutter trim in the background; picnic table on far left with a tree trunk that partially obscures it. Tree and shrubs on right.
