Bloomfield Cemetery
Notes concerning the cemetery located southeast of Durant, near Achilla, Oklahoma. 57 headstones were still readable at the time, among those one for Holmes Colbert. Mr. Colbert, drafter of the Chickasaw constitution and National Secretary of the Chickasaw Nation, died 1872. Also mentioned is Rev. J. H. Carr, first supt. of the Bloomfield Academy, and his wife and daughter.

Healdton Discovery Site
Letter to Healdton Chamber of Commerce, March 10, 1973, from Edward Galt. Mr. Galt relates that he is the lone survivor of the group that discovered the Healdton Oil Field. The site (near the center of section 8, twp. 4-s, R. 3-W) was obtained from Frank Wilson of Lacon, illinois, by the partnership of Galt, Roy Johnson, Wirt Franklin and Sam Apple.
