Letter to Healdton Chamber of Commerce, March 10, 1973, from Edward Galt. Mr. Galt relates that he is the lone survivor of the group that discovered the Healdton Oil Field. The site (near the center of section 8, twp. 4-s, R. 3-W) was obtained from Frank Wilson of Lacon, illinois, by the partnership of Galt, Roy Johnson, Wirt Franklin and Sam Apple.
