The voice that we hear is that of Daniel Tholung, recorded at UNT in 2009. The transcript was translated with the assistance of Sumshot Khular at UNT in 2016.

The story gives an account of how Shiri Badat's minister allied with a Persian prince, who married Shiri Badat's daughter, to have him killed. Khan claims that his ancestors are the progeny of the marriage between the Persian prince and Shiri Badat's daugher, whose name was Shamligas.
