Corrosion Behavior of Selectively Laser Melted CoCrFeMnNi High Entropy Alloy
The article focuses on a study that widens the toolbox to manufacture HEAs with exceptional corrosion resistance by additive manufacturing. CoCrFeMnNi high entropy alloys (HEAs) were additively manufactured (AM) by laser powder bed fusion and their corrosion resistance in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution was studied by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests. A systematic study of AM CoCrFeMnNi HEAs’ porosity under a wide range of laser processing parameters was conducted and a processing map was constructed to identify the optimal laser processing window for CoCrFeMnNi HEAs.

Preparation and Characterization of 3D Printed PLA-Based Conductive Composites Using Carbonaceous Fillers by Masterbatch Melting Method
This article highlights a study aimed at improving the conductivity of polylactic acid (PLA)-based composites by incorporating carbonaceous fillers. The composites with the addition of graphene nanoplatelets (rGO) or multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were fabricated by the masterbatch melting method in order to improve the dispersion of the two kinds of nano-fillers. The results showed that, with the addition of 9 wt % rGO, the volume electrical resistivity of the composite reached the minimum electrical resistance of 10³ Ω·m, at which point the conductive network in the composites was completely formed.

The Influence of Aortic Valve Hemodynamics and LVAD on bio-transport processes in Calcific Aortic Valve Disease
Data management plan for the grant "The Influence of Aortic Valve Hemodynamics and LVAD on bio-transport processes in Calcific Aortic Valve Disease." One of the most common valvular heart diseases is the development of calcific aortic valve (CAV). The goal of this research is to understand the transport and near-wall accumulation of Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), which play a key role in the CAV development, with and without altered transvalvular pressure gradient due to LVADs. This will be achieved by developing the first computational model of biochemical transport near the highly deforming aortic valve, in which the hemodynamics and LDL mass transport are coupled with the biomechanical response of the valve, using a FSI framework formed around an innovative supreme immersed boundary (SIB) method.

Data management plan for the grant "Process and Materials Development for Additive Manufacturing (AM) of Tungsten-Based Alloys with Superior High Temperature Performance and Good Room Temperature Ductility." Research on CALPHAD simulations will be conducted to optimize the chemical composition of tungsten based alloys towards 3D printability while boosting mechanical performance through solid solution and dispersion strengthening. This will followed by powder prototyping to validate the simulation results experimentally and to finalize the chemical composition of interest. Process parameter optimization and post-process heat treatment design will help to achieve optimal low-to-high temperature mechanical properties. Mechanical testing and microstructural characterization will be performed to establish process-microstructure-property relationships.

Natlog: a Lightweight Logic Programming Language with a Neuro-symbolic Touch
Article that introduces Natlog, a lightweight Logic Programming language, sharing Prolog's unification-driven execution model, but with a simplified syntax and semantics. The authors' proof-of-concept Natlog implementation is tightly embedded in the Python-based deep-learning ecosystem with focus on content-driven indexing of ground term datasets. As an overriding of the authors symbolic indexing algorithm, the same function can be delegated to a neural network, serving ground facts to Natlog's resolution engine. The open-source implementation is available as a Python package at t https://pypi.org/project/natlog/.
