Interview with Brack Garrison, a Marine WWII veteran and POW from Amarillo, Texas, accompanied by Nita Boynton. Garrison details his experiences defending Guam in the Japanese invasion of December 1941, and his subsequent surrender and internment in Japanese POW camps at Zentsuji and Osaka.

Interview with Mr. C. S. Sykes, a US Army WWII veteran from Ardmore, Oklahoma, and his wife, from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Both were on Oahu on December 7th, 1941, and witnessed the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. They discuss the peacetime army, being stationed at Schofield Barracks, living on Kawailoa Beach, events prior to the attack, and events during the attack on Oahu.

Interview with attorney Emory M. Spencer. The interview includes Spencer's personal experiences about being an attorney. Spencer talks about the development of the Coastal Bend area of South Texas 1920-71, cotton farming, Irish settlers and the Ku Klux Klan, gambling, the development of the Aransas County Airport, oil exploration, housing subdivisions, the Coastal Bend Regional Planning Commission, hurricanes, agriculture, property values, and prominent citizens of the county.

Interview with Colonel Leland D. Bartlett, an Army WWII veteran and POW from Springfield, Massachusetts. Bartlett discusses his education, his experience as a teenager in the Pancho Villa Expedition, becoming a commissioned officer in the Army, his pre-war career, his deployment to the Philippines, the Japanese attack, the Battle of Bataan, the siege of Corregidor and the American surrender, and his internment at Cabanatuan, Tanagawa, and Zentsuji.

Interview with Jack Scroggs, a history professor at NTSU and former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Little Rock, Arkansas. Before a group of students, Scroggs discusses his time in the CCC in the 1930s, including: his family background and education; the effects of the Depression on his hometown and family; the introduction of New Deal programs; his memory of Fireside Chats; entry into the CCC and orientation; organization in the Corps and its administration by the Army; benefits of the Corps; quality of life in a CCC camp; and the projects worked. Included in appendix is Scrogg's certificate of proficiency for a CCC course in engineering.

Interview with Walt Parker, a builder, farmer-rancher, and a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives from Denton. Parker discusses his experiences and personal views as a member of the Sixty-fourth Legislature. He also talks about the selection of Bill Clayton as speaker of the House, committee appointments, the constitutional revision, public school financing, public utilities legislation, and his personal legislation.

Interview with O. H. ("Ike") Harris, an attorney and a Republican member of the Texas Senate from Dallas, Texas, concerning his experiences and personal views as a member of the Sixty-fifth Legislature. Harris discusses the budget surplus, appropriations, the highway bill, public school financing, his personal legislation, and Governor Dolph Briscoe.

Interview with Fred Agnich, businessman and member of the Texas House of Representatives, Republican. The interview includes Agnich's personal experiences as a member of the 65th Legislature. Agnich talks about budget surplus, highway appropriations, public school financing, the Peveto bill, and personal legislation.

Interview with Navy veteran Charles Witt. The interview includes Witt's personal experiences while aboard the battleship USS Maryland during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The interview also includes an appendix with a travel journal.

Harris discusses his experiences attending the 66th Legislative Session of the Texas Senate, including thoughts on Governor Briscoe and Governor Clements, the appropriations bill, tax relief, and public school finance.

Interview with Norman Brooks Culver, a hospital worker for Humble Oil Refining Company in Baytown, Texas. Culver tells of his experiences working for Humble and the medical are given for the company, as well as a few anecdotes concerning the history of Baytown such as Humble Day celebrations.

Interview with L. Karl Grimes, born in Ellis County in 1895 and moved to Baytown, Texas in 1925. Grimes answers a few questions about his experiences and tells lengthy stories concerning his early life in Ellis County as well as his move to Baytown. Grimes covers his employment at Humble Oil and Refining Co. as well as issues concerning Mexican American children being allowed to go to school in Baytown.

Interview with Nathan Donsky, a business-owner from Dallas, Texas. Donsky discusses his family history, his upbringing, first job as a secretary, running small businesses in San Angelo and Forsan, Texas, founding Goren & Donsky's Pawn Shop, how he married his wife, expanding the business, starting Nathan's Jewelers, family happenings, company finances, and business partnerships and relations.
