While some of the plantings are 10 years or more in age, the remaining links in the planned scheme of protection have been slow in developing, owing to the lack of technical assistance until very recently."

Weaver’s] owner of this site. Has sold $20,000 of water to oil companies for drilling purposes in the last 20 years. He also watered neighbors’ cattle from this site during drought years of ’52, 53’, and ’54. This site was completed in 1950. Oil wells were to be drilled in sediment pool were spaced on the edge of water and […] under the pool.”
