Handwritten letter from Chester Nimitz to his grandfather in Fredericksburg. Nimitz describes receiving visitors at the Academy but being unable to greet them as he did not have a dress blue uniform yet. He also mentions his grades on the entrance exam and that he is looking forward to the Army-Navy football game to be played in November in Philadelphia. This letter is on US Naval Academy stationery.
