Postcard from Andrew J. Fallon to George Pendexter with a note from John Butler written on it; the note talks about sending for more cards with all of the "new auto horse wagons in Springfield, Mass." Butler had sent this card to Fallon and he then sent it on to Pendexter after crossing out the note on the card. The photograph on the reverse side shows a horse-drawn fire wagon with two firemen posing with it, one man is sitting in the driver's seat and the other is standing towards the rear. The vehicle itself has a large metal contraption in the back and an alarm bell mounted on the top of the bulb figure.

Postcard of the Providence Fire Department and citizens at a three-story fire station. Three fire fighters are standing on an upright ladder in the center of the image. On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "Occupies the first door - engine. The next - doors leading to men's quarters in centre - trucks next - district chief last. This station is close to my home, covers the district [...] up to date - bowling alley on the top floor. Capt's rooms at each corner, front - recreation room in centre. [...]"

On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "Have just one more fire dept. down here with one after sending these two today. So, please send me card next time - until I get home."

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter saying that he has just returned from his vacation of 25 days. The photograph on the reverse side of the card shows a Quaker Oats Plant having been burned in March 1911; the building is still smoking at the time of this picture. There is also a train in the photograph with the words "Ann Arbor" written on the side.
