E-mail correspondence between Julie Abel, Program Associate, Getty Center for Education in the Arts, and the RIG directors, in regards to the fiscal year 1997, FY97, and the core program proposal being due October 1, 1995. Carter Foundation, in regards to a grant proposal requesting $159,000 to assist establishing the NTIEVA program. The grant will go towards preparing teachers, school administrators and museum personnel to implement discipline-based arts education program into elementary and secondary schools. Included in the letter are details about NTIEVA's consortia districts and the funding they have received from the Getty Center for Education in the Arts. Scribbled on the sides of the letter are notes of corrections and revisions.

A newspaper clipping featuring an article on Janice Hobbs, a principal at Eastern Hills Elementary School, receiving an award this summer at the Sixth Annual Getty Art Institute for Disciplined Based Art Education. Mrs. Hobbs is credited for encouraging teachers and students to focus on integrating art into the curriculum. Eastern Hills Elementary students have attended workshops at the Amon Carter Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. Art education helps students make connections and understand human commonalities.

These pages belonged to the desk of Jack Davis, William McCarter, as they researched foundations to support their education reform program.

Rosenberg also states that Lori Weisgerber has joined the staff as well as senior secretary. The memo also details of upcoming meetings for the month of October.

A proposal to the Amon G. Carter Foundation by the University of North Texas, DFW public schools, DFW museums, and regional and state art councils, inviting Amon G. Carter to participate in the establishment of the North Texas Regional Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts through a three-year grant. The grant will be devoted to leadership training, staff development, and the implementation of a discipline-based visual arts program at the elementary school level. Included in the proposal is a broken down budget about the division of money through NTIEVA's consortia. The authors believe that the arts are an important component of a well-balanced educational program after studying educational reform.

A newspaper clipping featuring an article on students at Eastern Hills Elementary. Jason Ryan, a student at Eastern Hill, won first place in the Crayola Dream Maker's Art Show. His picture was voted best-of-show by faculty members, selected from around six hundred students artwork and writings. Ryan's artwork was shown at the Fort Worth Museum of Modern Art before being sent to Austin where it ill be exhibited at the State Capitol for six months.
