He advises Carswell that he has accepted an offer from Southern Methodist University as a professor and that he enjoyed greatly their conversations.

Carswell requests a flower delivery for the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bartlett Hague, Jr. for when they arrive home. A sentiment which is to accompany the flower delivery offers congratulations, best wishes and ends with a quote from Sidney Lanier's "Song of the Chattahoochee". The reverse side of poem includes business letterhead of Little Tuffy Mfg. Co.
