[Letter from Jim Schroeder to Peter Stewart, March 8, 1972]

Letter from Jim Schroeder to Peter Stewart discussing a newspaper cartoon in The Dallas Times Herald about the Thanks-Giving Square. Schroeder attaches the newspaper cartoon and says he thinks Stewart might like to see it. The cartoon depicts a sign that says, "Future Site Thanks-Giving Square Downtown Park". A group of people are looking up at the sign and the bottom of the cartoon says, "And over there, a few trees would be nice for the living room and maybe some shrubs for the bedroom...".

[Letter from Peter Stewart to Philip Johnson, March 17,1972]

Letter from Peter Stewart to Philip Johnson discussing the crown of the Thanks-Giving Chapel and bells in the Thanks-Giving Square. Stewart says the crown should express Thanksgiving, confidence, strength, and not despair or disappointment. He also describes the shape and says it should be flat, aim upward, and not sink. He says they should not worry about constraints such as number of turns, static rate of rise, and mold of the spiral. He says they are "changing the world vision into a cosmic vision,' and that the Chapel should also express this. He mentions the bells in the Thanks-Giving Square and describes their shape and what they should express.
