Alkali Spots in Field

Gypsum Applied Field and Non Gypsum Applied Field

Photograph of Bill Sharpe standing between two fields, which the right side received five tons per acre of applied gypsum, while the left side did not receive any gypsum. This field is near Will Rogers Air Port in Oklahoma City. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Gypsum Application. Bill Sharpe in photo. Portion of land to left of Bill did not have Gypsum applied. One on right had nearly 5 tons per acre. Before the application this portion of field would not grow anything. The portion where gypsum was not applied was not that bad."
