The back of the photograph proclaims, "Land in Conservation Reserve of the Soil Bank. ¼ section; 630 acres have been seeded. Drills owned by SCS district. Seven pounds of side oats [sic] and blue grama, one-pound sand love; ½ switch grass. Returning from cultivation for five years, sorghum did not make a crop so it was put in conservation reserve."
