Back of photo reads, "Lee College former students and faculty members gather around the LC flagpole once again this year to pay tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. In 1968, about 12 participants gathered there on the day after King's assassination for a memorial service. Robert Comeaux and Kenneth Bunting, LC students at that time, returned to Lee College for the Martin Luther King tribute held this week. From left are Comeaux, who now works for the AFL-CIO; Philip Dignam, retired LC English instructor who led the memorial service; John Britt and Jim Maroney, instructors in the LC social science dept; and Bunting chief of the state Capitol bureau for the Ft Worth Star-Telegram.
