Patent for a new and improved ironing board. This design consists in "the rigid supporting-frame of an ironing-table, a cross-piece secured to the outside of the upper ends of the supports at one end of the frame, so that its upper edge shall project above the supports, an ironing-board top hinged to one side of the cross-piece, and a shelf secured to the upper edge and projecting to the opposite side of said cross-piece" (lines 86-94).

This design "is to provide an improved corn and cotton scraper for turning or shovel plows for the cultivation of cotton, corn, and other plants, which is adapted to be attached to the beam of the plow without weakening the same by cutting or boring. The scraper is so arranged as to be adjusted either to the right or left, as desired, and up and down, on a central slotted foot-piece, by means of which the line of draft on the blade of the scraper is at all times the same as that on the beam of the plow" (lines 14-25).

Patent for a new and improved fruit picker. This design consists in "two bags or receptacles [which] are secured upon an endless chain or cord, which passes over a pulley at the top of the pole of the picker and under a pulley near the lower end of the pole, so that the weight of one fruit picked and received in the bag will draw the other bag upward ready to receive another fruit, while the fruit in the descended bag may be removed from the said bag, which will thus be ready to ascend, when another fruit is picked" (lines 24-34).

This design is "to so place and connect the torpedoes that they may be drawn out of the way of friendly vessels, so that they will automatically resume positions that will interfere with the passage of [unfriendly] vessels . . . Horse Collar.
Patent for a new and improved horse collar. This design "is to supply a cheap, durable, easy fitting and self adjusting or flexible horse-collar for farm and other use, and which shall readily adapt itself to the form of the animal, and thereby obviate those abrasions which are so common with the use of a rigid and unyielding collar. This design "has for its object the production of a simple, cheap, and effective device whereby the ants are confined to a space within the circle of the trap, speedily captured, and exterminated. Patent for a new and improved pruner. This design "has relation to that class of pruning elements in which a concave chisel-edge is formed in the upper end of the blade and one concave jaw of a pair of pruning-shears is formed at the lower end of the blade, while a saw is attached to one side of the blade and a pivoted jaw is attached to the lower end, operating together with the lower concave edge, and it contemplates certain improvements upon the pruning implement [of an earlier patent]" (lines 19-29).
