Patent for a new and improved combined chimney and ventilator. This design consists "[i]n a combined ventilator and smoke-flue, a series of pipes or flues having a sectional inclosing casing extending from the ceiling of a room and adapted to receive a stove-pipe, the lower drum or casing being provided with a series of openings, and having an annular flange, the top casing being located without the building, having its lower end within the space between the roof and ceiling, and braces, said upper casing having a downwardly-extending flange at its lower end" (lines 18-28).

Patent for a new and improved cabinet. This design consists in "the combination, with a hinged door or lid, of [a] . . . separate bail" (lines 99-100). Further, said bail is "pivotally secured at its upper ends to the cabinet, and adapted to support on its middle portion the free end of the said door when the latter is in its horizontal position . . . Patent for a light rotary-disk plow that is as strong as other plows, and has multiple concave plow disks that are arranged diagonally to the line of draft. The disks are adjustable and avoid excess friction. The plow's motion drives it into the ground.

This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a frame, a suction-pipe having one end bent downward to receive the seed cotton and the other end terminating in an upwardly-extending dust flue, and a suction-fan having its suction and discharge at the periphery, of a perforated screening-cylinder, an endless belt which co-acts with the cylinder to deflect the cotton into the discharge pipe, and a blowing-fan in the latter for forcing the seed-cotton to the gins" (lines 48-58).
