This letter is a notification that the charter for their new council has been received and is ready for presentation. The back page contains a draft of a second letter to Jacob I. Rodriguez, Secretary Mexican Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio, Texas. This is a notification that the date of the Regional LULAC Convention to be held in January, 1951 in Houston, Texas, has been changed to January 27 and 28, 1951. It is also an invitation to Jacob Rodriguez to speak after the speech of welcome at the convention.

Onionskin paper carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera to M. C. Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, dated June 12, 1952. The letter is regarding Herrera's bid for the presidency of LULAC. Herrera discusses some of the voting issues of Texas and New Mexico LULAC councils and mentions that Gonzales will be making the nominating speech for Herrera at the National LULAC Convention, with George Lopez of Wharton, Texas, seconding the nomination. And also, in a short note, the letter mentions the birth of Herrera's daughter Cathy Luz.

Interview with Marguerite Sammon Voges, a Kerr County Native whose mother established the Voges Mobil Home Park (under the name, Blue Ridge Mobile Home Park), from Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Voges describes growing up in the area, the flood of 1978, her family, and interesting aspects of farm life. Her sister, Minneola, and her cousin, Josie B. Kendall, are also present during the interview.

The Texas State Historical Association Quarterly Report includes "Papers read at the meetings of the Association, and such other contributions as may be accepted by the Committee" (volume 1, number 1). These include historical sketches, biographical material, personal accounts, and other research.

Letter from Jacob I. Rodriguez and Gus C. Garcia from LULAC replying to the editorial article written by Mary Lee Shannon and printed in the Wharton Spectator on October 14, 1949. Rodriguez and Garcia refute the conception of the "Mexican problem" stated in the letter. They state many misconceptions about the Mexican minorities, and the injustice done to them.
