He writes to share his opinion on the dispute that developed between BCMM and KAPE radio, and as to whether or not the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) would consider his petition to deny the radio station a license renewal. He doesn't think it will go far, but encourages Mr. Salas to not give up.

Letter from Jose F. Olivares to Carla Hill, dated July 20, 1976, and printed on League of United Latin American Citizens, LULAC District No. 15, letterhead. The letter requests a list of all housing projects under the LULAC name in the past 20 years and refers to an enclosed, incomplete list of projects. A copy of the letter was sent to John J. Herrera. The bottom of the letter contains a handwritten note that reads, "Dear Johnny: I look forward to working with you -- and hope you can meet in Kerrville on the 31st. Regards from my dad."

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Andrew Dilworth, San Antonio 5, Texas, dated June 20, 1946. Dilworth requests that Carswell support Jimmie Caviness for National Executive Committeeman and advises that the name of James M. Caviness was "presented" to and received an ovation from the convention. He briefly summarizes the life and qualifications of Caviness beginning with the following; "Jimmie Caviness is a veteran of both World War I and World War II. In the last war he served as a Colonel in the 36th Division, and he was a casualty of that war. He lost his only son in World War II."
