Article describes how the conformal nanoporous inorganic coatings with accessible pores that are stable under applied thermal and mechanical stresses represent an important class of materials used in the design of sensors, optical coatings, and biomedical systems. Authors synthesize porous AlOx and ZnO coatings by the sequential infiltration synthesis (SIS) of two types of polymers that enable the design of porous conformal coatings.

The concept, symbolic nonviolence, was created, which is the intentional and systemic practice of recognizing and absorbing symbolic violence to transform the habitus.

Laura Right of the Board of Regents introduces honorary doctoral candidate Opal Lee, who also speaks briefly. Degrees are awarded to graduates. Daniel Suda of the UNT alumni association is the keynote speaker. The ceremony concludes with the singing of the alma mater by Cerise Williams and graduate recessional.

However, the current manufacturing process for microneedles remains complicated, hindering its applicability to a broader variety of applications. This experimental study enables the shapes and mechanical properties of the microneedles to be predicted in advance for mass production and wide practical use for biomedical or cosmetic applications.
