The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Albert Finley. Finley joined the Marine Corps around December of 1943. He provides vivid details of his boot camp experiences. He served with Headquarters Company, 4th Marines, as a radar mechanic on Corsairs, repairing radio and radar gear. Beginning in September of 1944 they traveled to Guam, Kwajalein, Pearl Harbor and Majuro in the Marshall Islands. Finley shares a number of anecdotal stories, including working with POWs. He was discharged in the fall of 1946.

Interview with Chris Walker, a carpenter during World War II. He discusses working as a carpenter in the Marines at Camp Pendleton and on Tinian and Saipan. He was present at Okinawa and in Nagasaki after Japan surrendered. He also tells stories about generals, his colonel, rations, and friendly fire. He describes some of the memorabilia he kept.

Typed account "T-N-T" of bombing of USS Marathon at Okinawa on July 22, 1945, written by Kenneth E. Haden of the ship's crew. Included with the document is an envelope addressed to Mrs. Silas Haden with handwritten notes including "Kenneth account of Bombing."

Typewritten correspondence from an unknown sailor describing events in Nagasaki Harbor and city on September 11, 16, and 20th 1945. The document provides a first-hand account of damage from the atomic bomb from the sailor's viewpoint in Nagasaki harbor as well as naval operations during the period described and the affect on civilians in the area.
