Aten says "Hello all- This is Friday nite and it was quite a warm day too. Tomorrow the Battalion has a picnic at Circa park and we are leaving at 1100. Should be here to see some of these places. Should be seeing some others soon. We are quite busy now. Always, Woodrow."

Carswell, Parramore Post No. 57, American Legion, Abilene, Texas, from Charles Schwarz, Director of Public Relations, Treasury Department, Washington, dated December 11, 1941. Schwarz expresses for Secretary Morgenthau his appreciation for the letter asking for an expression on Americanism and advises that he is sending a copy of an address given in 1938 by the Secretary. Enclosure includes: THE ROAD AHEAD. An address by Henry Morgenthau, Jr., Secretary of the Treasury dated June 16, 1938. "―to be delivered at the Commencement Exercises of Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa., June 16, 1938―"
