Discussing her enjoyment when visiting Engels' classroom and how the children were so receptive and interested in the art lesson. Enclosed in the letter, Broadus has provided an interesting art reproduction by artist Melissa Miller and her work "Clowns," hoping that Engels can be able to use while teaching her class the letter "M." Broadus will contact Engels at a later date to discuss details about another visitation.

To discuss the teacher packet for the "Africa Explores" exhibit that Davitt has sent to Reynolds. As well as discuss the upcoming summer institute and other activities that Davitt will find informative. Enclosed in the letter is a schedule for the DMA summer institute that shows when the districts will be visiting the museum. The rest of the letter goes into details about how large the parties from each district will be and details about what the events should cover.

Photocopy of a letter from Leilani Lattin Duke, director of the Getty Center, to Harriet Laney, in response to Laney's request for the Center to send the Texas PTO Presidents complimentary copies of the PTA kid. Duke responds that she wants to think about this request as they are only given a specific amount of copies, so as to not undercut the National PTA who sells copies of the kit. Duke will consider Laney's request if she sends a draft of the cover letter the Texas Institute would receive with the kits. Copied on the letter is Jack Davis, Bill McCarter and Vicki Rosenberg.

Photocopy of a letter from Jack Davis and Bill McCarter, co-directors of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Celia Munoz. Describing the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts fifth year as a staff development program for the school districts and museums, and as such Davis and McCarter established an advisory board several years to serve the community as well as receive their input. Davis and McCarter continue, explaining how fortunate they are to have Jan Muhlert, Director of the Amon Carter Museum chair their board, and how much they would like to have Munoz serve as a board member for the Institute. At the end of the letter Davis and McCarter ask Munoz to take their request into consideration and that the board will meet at the Amon Carter December 1 at 4 pm. The letter mentions a fact sheet being given to Munoz about current board members, fact sheet not present with letter. Copied on the letter is Jan Muhlert.

In regards to Plano's commitments to North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts and that their Site Coordinator Lynda Alford will contribute 50% of her time during the 93-94 calendar year to activities related to the staff development of DBAE. Along with six other art specialists / teachers who will also give time towards DBAE. Attached to the letter are stipend worksheets for the current salary for the faculty to be involved with the program.

Photocopy of a letter from Bill McCarter, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Bill Cormack, Superintendent of Dallas ISD. McCarter writes that from the point of view of NTIEVA, there has been new energy and focus from Woolery's good words from their panel, TASA/TASB. It gave NTIEVA them insight into the leadership Woolery is providing. McCarter also writes that they appreciate Dr. Skinner and Bill Cormack, who have proven themselves as able spokespersons for the distract during their recent meeting at the Dallas Museum between DMA Education Committee and members of the Board of the Marcus Foundation. McCarter ends the letter by stating that NTIEVA is in the early stages of planning for activities during the summer of 1995 and that the involvement of the Dallas teachers makes them look forward to another successful Institute. Copied on the letter are, Jack Davis, J. Skinner and Bill Cormack.
