[Postcard of the Pension Office in Washington, D. C.]

Postcard of a red brick three story building with an American flag flying from the rooftop. The building is described as follows, "The Pension Building with an area 200 by 400 feet, is the largest brick building in the world. At the Inauguration Ball 18,000 people have fathered within its vast court. A feature of the exterior is the frieze in which are sculptured the marching troops of the Civil War." The letter reads, "We are having a great time. I go out to school tomorrow afternoon. Am going to room with a Ft. Worth girl. Write to me at Gunston Hall 1906 Florida Ave. Wash. D. C." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin 1906 McFaddin Ave Beaumont, Tex."
