The mission statement details the purpose of the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, being a consortia of schools, museums, state agencies and the University of North Texas, being devoted to teacher training and education reform.

A detailed report in regards to the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts approaching the task of strategic planning using a traditional planning model. The model includes the following elements, Situational Analysis, Development of Planning Assumptions, Affirmation of Purpose, Articulation of Vision, Statement of Mission, Development of Objectives and Methods of Measuring, and so forth. The strategic planning was then implemented.

Nancy Reynolds, project coordinator for North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts says there are no right or wrong answers when discussing art. A two-week summer institute ended with more than two-hundred teachers from six school districts involved with the education reform program.

The inside gives a description of the event and its purpose as well as the leaders of the event and an itinerary for the day. There is a section on the back that will certify that the teacher attended the inservice on the day it was held.

A letter from Leilani Lattin Duke, Director of the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to Jack Davis, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. The letter is in regards to prior correspondence between Davis and Duke from a letter on May 22, and which involved a recommendation that the Center consider providing a session at the next NAEA convention on the progress of the Regional institutes. Duke agrees that the timing is right and the program is far along that they can provide substantive report on what they are learning, what problems continue to perplex them and what is working. Duke and Vicki Rosenberg agreed to talk about the idea after her return at the end of June.

Following the room number of the panel is an itinerary of talking points and the speakers associated with them. The total time given for the discussion is one hour and fifteen minutes. The second page is an information sheet that gives contact information and a summary of presenters for the event.

A grant application form from the Effie and Wofford Cain Foundation filled out by the University of North Texas, in request of $25,000 dollars for the funding of the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts project. Attached to the grant application is the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts proposal to the foundation which gives insight to the type of program NTIEVA intends to be.

An evaluation report submitted to the Getty Center for Education in the Arts by Ralph Hoepfner, Ph.D on June 1, 1991. The report is titled "The Status of DBAE Programs in School Districts Participating in the Getty Institute For Educators on the Visual Arts." The report details the decreased support in DBAE from the Getty Institute after two years of working together with twenty-one districts. The report attempts, as stated, to assess the extent, nature and causes of maintenance or decay of those programs.

A vision statement from the Florida Institute for Art Education, proposed Center of Excellence Getty Center for Education in the Arts by Jessie Lovano-Kerr, Director, Staff Development and Administration and Nancy Roucher, Director, Curriculum Implementation. The vision statement from the Florida Institute details the consortium's mission, to assist education communities in transforming content and outcomes for their educational programs. Their mission will be implemented through three programmatic areas: Regional Consortia; Model Schools; National Specialty featuring DBAE Instruction / Assessment Models.

A memo from Vicki Rosenberg, program officer for the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the Regional and California Institute Directors. The memo is in regards to a revised Call for Programs for Creating and Beyond, a publication on art education. Rosenberg states that the directors should make copies of the guidelines for all participating districts and send them out immediately for contact.
