Photocopy of a letter from Ms. Bette Perot, of the Perot Foundation to William McCarter, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. The letter is in regards to previous correspondence where McCarter had sent Perot information regarding the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts program and their primary goal. In this letter Perot notes that their program is impressive but cannot commit to their support at this time due to other commitments.

Photocopy of a memo from Julie Anne Abel, Program Associate, Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to Bill McCarter and Jack Davis. In regards to enclosed documents sent to McCarter and Davis about fundraising, as they researched to find institutes to support their education reform program. The enclosed document is a clipping from the Corporate giving watch, with some pages of potential foundations.

A memo from Vicki Rosenberg, program officer, the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the Regional Institute Directors, Sheila Brown, Maggie DiBlasio, Jack Davis, Anne Lindsey, Jessie Lovano-Kerr, Nancy MacGregor, Bill McCarter, Tom McMullen and Nancy Roucher. The memo is in regards to the trustees of the J. Paul Getty approving the Center's fiscal year 1990 budget which begins on July 1, 1989. Also, Rosenberg is planning a fall seminar on student assessment for two days during the week of October, 1989 and requests they keep their schedule open. cc'd on the memo, Stephen M. Photocopy of a memorandum from Lynda Alford, Art Coordinator of Plano ISD, to H. Wayne Hendrick. In regards to Elementary art. Alford has given Hendrick an outlined suggestion for improving the elementary art program, based on research even the best staff development programs do not effect change unless there is follow up and continuous support, therefore their plans call for the addition of certified art teachers. Enclosed with the letter are abstracts about the improving the program. At the bottom of the cover page a scribbled note reads, "Jack, this is the packet that has been written for the board, Lynda."

A contract for between the Texas Commission on the Arts and the University of North Texas for services that include grants and funding for the North Texas Institute of the Arts. The contract is split into six sections. Section 1 establishes the parties in the contract, TCA and UNT. Section 2 is the equal opportunity statement. Section 3 is the contract period. Section 4 is the obligations of service provider, UNT. Section 4 also states that UNT will produce an evaluation report within 30 days following the termination of the contract. Section 5 states the obligations of the commission, TCA. Section 6 is the payment by commission which states that TCA shall pay to UNT the amount of its liabilities specified in section 5. Section 7 is the amendments and changes.
