Silent film of the Intercontinental Football League's (IFL's) 1976 European tour to promote American football as a leisure activity. It includes footage of players on buses and in cars, football games, spectators, cheerleaders, European scenery and promotional activities. Many stills of promotional brochures, newspaper articles, and photographs are included.

This image in Echoes from France by Amy Robbins Ware, an American nurse in France during WWI, demonstrates the kind of tensions generated by the coexistence of photographs and text. Image 3, pages 40 and 41. The page on the left has a black and white photo of a woman in a dress and gas mask, the page on the right a poem titled "J'attends, C'est la Guerre." Although the book contains no photographs of abject gore, it does feature this photo of a woman with a gas mask as a haunting reminder of such horror and an effacement of the familiar, such that the woman now wears the large dark eyes and proboscis reminiscent of insect life. Scrapbook documenting the travels of John Logan Briggs Jr. in 1983 including photographs, stickers, menus, maps, handwritten notes, tickets, wine labels, and other records of travel throughout France.

Fragments of an envelope, addressed to S. Lauderdale paired with a possible back page of a booklet which reads in French "Moreau Éditeur Versailles" with an insignia of a line with floral decorations running through it. The booklet leaf could be a possible souvenir from Lauderdale's time spent in France.

Outgoing postcard featuring a black and white image of Le Tramway au Smmet du PUY-DE-DOME. The postcard includes a hand inked message to family in the United States. The top edge of the card inlcudes a humorous note that reads to "Do not forget stamps- first for me!!". The stamped and addressed envelope is included.

Single page of American Red Cross Stationary with English and French writing covering June 26th and 27th, 1919. The notes include dairy like entries that comment on the progress of the war and list places Lauderdale visited including such as chapels, 2 ponds, lake, Napoleon Lounge, and the colonnade.
