From purpose and scope: In 1980, the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District, initiated an investigation to appraise the ground-water resources of coastal parts of Citrus, Hernando, and Levy Counties that are within the Southwest Florida Water Management District and to provide information necessary for the use and protection of the resource.
