This book is the student text for a training course "designed to acquaint inactive duty Air Force Reserve officers with the basic elements and fundamentals that contribute to the current capability of the United States Air Force to carry out its mission" (Preface, p. v). It consists of six chapters: Target Considerations; United States Air Force: Weapons; United States Air Force Manned Delivery Vehicles; United States Air Force Unmanned Delivery Vehicles; United States Air Force Bases, Personnel, and Material; and Soviet Aerospace Developments. Each chapter includes background information, review questions, and a list of suggested readings for further study.
