The new super highway will link the southeast and southwest sections of Oklahoma City. it generally will follow SE 74 from Interstate Highway 35 westward. When another new highway, the West Bypass, is completed it will connect with the South Bypass at a point one-half mile west of May Avenue. the proposed West Bypass will run along the eastside of Will Rogers Airport. Another proposed highway will link the South Bypass with the southside of Tinker Air Force Base. Although not part of the Interstate System, the South Bypass is a federal highway project. Completion of the $3.3 million highway is expected in about two years. When the entire express way system is completed it will link Tinker with Fort Sill, Wichita Falls and Altus, all important military and missile installations.
