This scrapbook was collated for the American Art Week competition. On the front cover is a map of Texas with divisions for the Federated Women's Club districts. The motto of the Texas Art Division of the Federation is "Give Art a Chance." Each of the local Abilene universities - Hardin-Simmons University, McMurry University, and Abilene Christian University - had events to highlight American Art week.

Carpenter was elected State Director for the American Artists Professional League and Director of the Art Division of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. Included is a summary report of District 6 activities and also proposed exhibits for the Abilene Museum of Fine Arts.
