Grid-based Coordinated Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks
This paper discusses grid-based coordinated routing in wireless sensor networks and compares the energy available in the network over time for different grid sizes. The authors explore the quality of service of wireless sensor networks, how the coordinator nodes are elected, and the size of the grid area that will minimize the total energy consumption and extend the lifetime of the network.

SemEval-2007 Task 14: Affective Text
The "Affective Text" task focuses on the classification of emotions and valence (positive/negative polarity) in news headlines, and is meant as an exploration of the connection between emotions and lexical semantics. In this paper, the authors describe the data set used in the evaluation and the results obtained by the participating systems.

UNT: SubFinder: Combining Knowledge Sources for Automatic Lexical Substitution
This paper describes the University of North Texas SubFinder system. The system is able to provide the most likely set of substitutes for a word in a given context, by combining several techniques and knowledge sources. SubFinder has successfully participated in the best and out of ten (oot) tracks in the SEMEVAL lexical substitution task, consistently ranking in the first or second place.

Finding Semantic Associations on Express Lane
This paper introduces a new codification scheme for efficient computation of measures in semantic networks. The scheme is particularly useful for fast computation of semantic associations between words and implementation of an informational retrieval operator for efficient search in semantic spaces. Other applications may also be possible.

Graph-based Ranking Algorithms for Sentence Extraction, Applied to Text Summarization
Abstract: This paper presents an innovative unsupervised method for automatic sentence extraction using graph-based ranking algorithms. We evaluate the method in the context of a text summarization task, and show that the results obtained compare favorably with previously published results on established benchmarks.

Geometrical dependence of the low-frequency noise in superconducting flux qubits
Article reporting on a study of a series of 85 devices of vary design using a general method for directly measuring the low-frequency flux noise (below 10 Hz) in compound Josephson-junction superconducting flux qubits. The results support the hypothesis that local impurities in the vicinity of the qubit wiring are a key source of low-frequency flux noise in superconducting devices.

Probing Noise in Flux Qubits via Macroscopic Resonant Tunneling
Article on the characterization of noise in a flux qubit using macroscopic resonant tunneling between the two lowest lying states of a bistable rf SQUID. Analysis of these results indicates that the dominant source of low energy flux noise in this device is a quantum mechanical environment in thermal equilibrium.
